CVI has been updated – important changes for all ophthalmologists to be aware of
The Department of Health (England) has updated the Certificate of Vision Impairment and revised the Explanatory Notes for consultant ophthalmologists and hospital eye clinic staff in England.

Adult severe uveitis interim policy approved
The interim policy proposes that for the minority of cases with chronic
sight threatening and visually disabling uveitis, that are unresponsive
to previously available standard treatments, treatment with adalimumab

E-Learning resource for ophthalmologists about certifying visually impaired patients
RNIB has developed an online E-Learning resource for ophthalmologists to highlight the importance of working proactively with eligible patients to certify them as sight impaired (partially sighted) or severely sight impaired (blind) using The Certificate of Vision Impairment (CVI).
