GPhC Council gives green light to implementation of revalidation in a ‘step-change’ for pharmacy professionals
The General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) will introduce revalidation for pharmacy professionals from 30 March 2018, after its Council approved the framework for revalidation and agreed the timetable for its implementation.

GMC publishes action plan to improve revalidation
The General Medical Council (GMC) has unveiled a plan to implement the recommendations in Sir Keith Pearson’s report –Taking Revalidation Forward – published earlier this year.
The plan details work the GMC and others will do to improve medical revalidation, making it a more positive and meaningful experience for doctors, responsible officers, patients and everyone involved.

Fourth quarter revalidation report demonstrates continued success
Revalidation has recently celebrated its one year anniversary and the NMC has published its fourth quarterly report. The final quarter of the first year has continued to show how successful revalidation has been with 48,598 nurses and midwives renewing their registration during this period.

Revalidation first quarter data published - NMC
First report shows the introduction of revalidation is a success.
Data from the first quarter of revalidation published today shows that over 35,000 (91 percent) nurses and midwives due to renew their registration, have now completed the revalidation process.
